Phew! I have had one action packed week! Despite being in recovery and being unable to do any exercise for a long part of it, it’s been pretty active! On Monday, with my croaky Phil Mitchel voice, I went to the Entrepreneur Event at Milk Bar in Soho. I wasn’t drinking, so with a glass of rather un-inspiring water in my hand, I started mingling. I met quite a few interesting people, of which gave me some pretty great ideas for MYO. However, there weren’t any investors, so the search continues.
I made a pizza using self-raising flour, which wasn’t actually too bad, but probably not something I’ll be recommending. I also ate a lot of pizza from my trips to GO, La Davina and my return visit to Pizza East. Despite Pizza East’s dough being a LOT better than I’d remembered, I can’t really form a proper review as I was very, very merry.
Most excitedly, I’ve officially planned my Italy trip! It’s actually happening, much to my Dad’s horror. Starting in Palermo, Sicily and ending in Venice, I’m effectively circling the country and visiting all the regions to try out their differentiations on pizza and popular cuisine. If anyone has any ideas for things I should do/visit/eat while I’m out there, please comment away!
I didn’t do a great deal of cooking this week, I made salted caramel shortbread and a bacon sandwich or two, but generally was fed very well by others. I discovered this awesome English deli in Soho too, “Damson & Co”, which offered a gorgeous selection of English wines and cured meats. I was also served one of Matt’s delicious roasts on Sunday, followed by a colossal lasagne at the staff party that evening. So, all in all, as usual, a pretty good week for eating!
Week out of ten? Let’s give it a 9. Home for a few days now, looking forward to a comfy bed and catching up with school friends Should probably think about organising a trip to the dentists too, as I have great fears that my wisdom tooth is growing through.
